Urban Staff Development provides technical assistance to urban school district personnel on planning and implementing professional activities for teachers and administrators by:
- Coordinating or conducting training
- Developing a resource library
- Coordinating innovative and experimental programs that design alternative routes to teacher licensing
Services provided include:
- Working collaboratively with the Teacher Education Team in institutional on-site reviews
- Serving as liaison to teacher education programs
- Urban Teacher World Program
- Coordinating the Urban Teacher World Explorations Program for middle and high school students
- DPI liaison to the Wisconsin Human Realations Association
- DPI liaison to the National Future Educators of America Assocation
